Anna Chorlton writes for Mazed Tales, a collection of traditional tales created by Sue Field. Mazed brings Cornish folk tales to streets; festivals, community centers, libraries and schools. It has a website of ninety tales and photographs of East Cornwall; tales of witches, smugglers and ghosts, tales of piskeys, people and giants. https://www.mazedtales.org/

Animations: The screen plays for Mazed’s twelve astounding animations were written by Anna Chorlton and Produced by Denzil Monk. Animation is by students from Falmouth University and professional animators. The animations are available in both English and Kernewick, voiced by Will Coleman. Watch the animations here.

Cornishibai is Cornish illustrated street storytelling, based on Japanese Kamishibai. Anna Chorlton wrote the scripts. Cornish illustrators illustrated six of the tales to be staged on a tricycle with storyteller Nina Hills.

Puppets: Mazed Tales has two beautifully carved lifelike puppets made by puppeteer John Roberts. Mazed storyteller, Sue performs storytelling and walkabout storytelling with the puppets at events and festivals.

Monochrome Mazed is the community illustration project which illustrated ‘Cornish Folk Tales of Place’ in 2018. Professional artists worked in three Cornish schools, two libraries and a community center. Children and members of the community illustrated the tales, using manga, pen and ink, print and silhouettes. Exciting illustrations emerged.
